October 14, 2009
Mooresville, NC

During a guest appearance on the Kickin' Asphalt Radio show Tuesday night, Cory Joyce announced a new opportunity with Win-Tron Racing for 2010. Joyce, a 17-year-old driver originally from Gilford, New Hampshire, is slated to drive for the team in the USARacing Pro Cup Series.

"We've created a great relationship with Win-Tron Racing and I'm interested in driving for them in the USAR Pro Cup Series next year," Joyce announced. "Right now, we're just in the process of moving forward and securing a full-time partnership with potential sponsors."

Coming off of a stellar rookie season at Hickory Motor Speedway in NASCAR Whelen All-American Series competition, Cory is excited to move ahead with his career. Win-Tron Racing car owners Kevin Cywinski and Nate Thiesse are very impressed with the young driver's abilities and are excited to be a part of his future.

"We're looking forward to putting Cory in our car for the full-season of USARacing Pro Cup competition next year. After the season he had in late models this year, we feel really confident in his talent and we're eager to move forward and advance his career," added Cywinski.

Aside from preparations for next year, Joyce will be making several appearances in the off season. This Saturday, he will be participating in the MI-Connection Community Celebration in Mooresville, N.C., from 11 AM- 3PM. The festival will be at the Cornelius Town Hall in Cornelius, N.C., and will feature a NASCAR simulator as well as booths from MI-Connection, Cornelius Arts Council, Savvy Salon, Parks Chevrolet and more.

Next Saturday, Cory will be participating in the Great Outdoor Festival with the Humane Society of Charlotte. The event will take place at the Latta Plantation Nature Preserve in Huntersville, N.C., from 11 AM - 5 PM. A free event for the family to enjoy, the festival will feature fishing, arts and crafts, kayaking and canoeing, live animals and much more. Cory will be volunteering at the Humane Society's booth along with interacting with fans and signing autographs throughout the event.

"The next two weekends are going to be very busy for me, but I'm looking forward to both appearances. We'll have my car at the MI-Connection Community Celebration, and I can't wait to help out the Humane Society at the Great Outdoor Festival. Volunteering and helping animals is something I'm very passionate about, so I want to do anything I can," said Joyce.
